lifted springs

Hi All,

This is probably a stupid question but here goes; Can I fit lifted/heavy duty springs on without changing the  standard shocks? I need some HD springs but can't afford the full set at the moment.

That would be great man! I have to pass it through the MOT before I start so I am hopping I can get it through Mon/Tues. They have already looked at it and said I need to remove or cover my recovery points and provide a letter for my bodylift saying it is for my car and meets EU standards. If all goes well hopefully by Wednesday I will be ready And I am off Wed. Got to work Thurs or Friday then off Sat,Sun,Mon I will see how it goes w/ the MOT.

MOT passed this morning! Now out come the spanners! Time to put it all back together again. I think tomorrow the suspension is going on. Does anyone have a set of heavy duty coil compressors I could borrow?

Ok Mark, I would be grateful for that. I have 2 light duty ones that are probably for small cars and are pretty scary.

OK job done! I got called in to work overtime this weekend so I have done it here at work ;) Thanks Morgan,Mark and Alfred for the offer of help. I got lucky with the timing.

I was just putting the last bolt on the sway bar when it started pissing down! Perfect timing, I think the gods were on my side this time around.

So that's it then........No more talk of bloody suspension from me! It only took a year.

OK sounds good. What about Thurs or Fri? I have to work 8:30-9-00 till next monday =(. and I need to have an alignment asap probably tomorrow.

It's a fair bit taller now. I'm assuming it will settle a bit over the next couple of months. I think the ali. side steps are going to have to go back on, seeings how my 5' 2" wife and daughters are the primary drivers ;)

Last I heard it is supposed to rain off and on this week. Possito or somewhere more exotic?
