Event Description
Club will be assisting in this great cause for Yamina by guiding Zed on Wheels on his Challenge cycling from Marrakesh to Gibraltar.
Yamina is seven years old and suffers from severe global and developmental delay and hypotonia (muscle weakness) therefore is fully dependant on 24 hour adult assistance. This family has 3 other children aged 2, 6 & 9 and due to circumstances dad has had to give up his employment to become a stay at home dad as they cannot afford a carer for the child, hence mother (employed at GHA, sponsored patients department) is sole breadwinner.
Several modifications are being made to the family home e.g hoists implemented, bathroom facilities installed, as well as adjustments to cater for the disabled child and all her equipment. However, the family must purchase a Specially adapted vehicle with appropriate wheelchair access – estimated at £30k.
Grateful If you could spare a few pennies or pounds for this cycling adventure challenge for a worthy cause. All donations towards Yamina are greatly appreciated.

The guys have had a very unfortunate day on the first day of the venture, firstly we had to miss the ferry we had reserved for midday due to the change of vehicle getting paperwork ready for it to travel and a few more up and downs, we had to wait till 4 pm to get the next one.
