Cancer Relief Gibraltar and the Cancer Relief Centre

There are so many fantastic accounts in Gibraltar of one area of our community working to support another and at Cancer Relief, we have recently been lucky enough to benefit from such an event ourselves. The Lincoln Red Imps Football Club have always been great supporters of our charity but recently came together with Kevin Parody to pull out all the stops and organise their first Camel Challenge to Assilah, Morocco! Kevin had promised his mum before she sadly passed away recently that he would do this for Cancer Relief and, after an intense period of extremely hard work from all involved, the team set off in November. More on their exploits can be found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GcTNZpejDM&feature=youtu.be which shows just how fantastic a trip they had. All those involved would like to say a special thanks to the over 80 sponsors who helped support this trip and the incredible amount of £10,500 raised and to Maroc Atlas Gib 4x4 Club for their invaluable support.
Cancer Relief would like to share our most heartfelt thanks to the intrepid band of adventurers who signed on for the first Camel Challenge, to Kevin for all his hard work in memory of his beautiful mother and to the Lincoln Red Imps for organising such a challenge in such a short time and showing the true meaning of community spirit. Our deepest thanks too, to all those who helped raise so much funding for the Centre. As our number of service users increases, so do our costs but events such as this ensure we will always be open to everyone who needs us. For this we cannot thank you all enough!
