The Strait of Gibraltar Association´s Trust aims and objectives are to promote bilateral relations between Gibraltar and Morocco on the educational, voluntary, cultural, artistic and sports levels since 2019. We are in partnership with the Gibraltar Morocco Business Association established well over 20 years ago. we recently registered Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust as a locally based charity (charity 328) supporting Gibraltar/Morocco non-governmental organizations to raise funds, organise awareness and/or collection campaigns for specific targeted minority groups (i.e. single parents, disability and support and empower the youth within both communities to better themselves).

Our five designated Charities are:

- Caring for Gibraltar (Formerly Families in Need)

- 100% Maman for Single Mothers in Tangier, Morocco.

- Deaf School: Attawassol Association for the Education, Teaching and Qualification of Hearing-Impaired Children (Sinwane Centre) in Tangier, Morocco.

- Down Syndrome: Assadaka (Friendship) Association for Mentally disabled Children in Tangier, Morocco

- Duke of Edinburgh International Award – Independent Award Centre in Tangier, Morocco

At GBC waiting to appear on The Hub tonight 9pm to talk about The Strait of Gibraltar Associationجمعية مضيق جبل طارق flag day this Friday!

We will be providing & delivering the tables and chairs for the four stations on Friday morning!

We are aiming in having a maximum of 15 sponsored camels on the Trek.

With each donation we receive, we become all that much closer to our goal to support Gibraltar/Morocco non-governmental organizations, initiatives, and to empower both communities.

The monies raised will be in aid of:

1. Caring For Gibraltar

2. Cancer Relief Centre, Gibraltar

3. 100% Maman for Single Mothers in Tangier, Morocco

4. Deaf children School: Attawassol Association for the Education, Teaching and Qualification of Hearing-Impaired Children (Sinwane Centre) in Tangier, Morocco.

Strait Of Gibraltar Association Hold Camel Trek Charity Event

The Strait of Gibraltar Association organised a “Camel Trek 23” charity event from 5th - 8th May along the Atlantic coastline from Asilah to Tangiers in Morocco. Eleven camel riders were sponsored by local entities and individuals.

A spokesperson said: “Thanks to 35 generous sponsors, Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust (RN328) has been able to raise £17,000 in aid of: Caring for Gibraltar, Cancer Relief Centre Gibraltar, 100% Mamans for Single Mothers in Tangier, Association of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Children in Tangier, and Association of Mentally Disabled Children in Tangier, Morocco.”

"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community and are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our donors," said Mr Steven Marin Secretary of SGA Trust "The funds raised will make a significant impact on the lives of the charities we are supporting."

Following the successful Camel Trek II, the camel riders visited the beneficiary charities in Tangier to witness first-hand the great impact of these charities in Tangier and to express gratitude to the dedicated individuals working tirelessly to support their respective causes.
