Hello, it's a little long, but take the time. ...

As I explained during my new year 2021 wishes, it is time for us to project and introduce to you the program of the next rally which becomes the ′′ Paris Dakhla ".

The Pioneers rally is a project or rather a crazy idea that started ten years ago bringing together a bunch of friends without experience, with the idea of traveling across France with our old frames mostly found abandoned. Little by little, the idea made its way, the Pioneers rally with its four editions in France enabled a large number of participants to satisfy their passion by restaurant and replicating the vehicles of the era of African Dakar.

Our passion for raid rally carried us to Africa, and we opted for Morocco. The four Moroccan editions allowed us to test with more or less success all the ingredients necessary for the success of a historic raid rally.

The latest edition of the Pioneers, which took place in homelessness with specials ranging from 350 to 400 km and with a ranking at the time, allowed each competitor to find their own pace and we to sustain a sporting settlement adapted.

Our new ambitious project ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ draws inspiration from the heritage of raid rallyes, especially those of the first ′′ Paris Algiers Dakar ′′ of the Sabine era, where the adventure served as the engine and the revealing competition.

We have the ambition to make ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ an annual appointment in the minds and values of the Pioneers, with an open mind, an appointment so that everyone can escape, step out of their comfort zone, meet some difficulties, overcome them, discover the desert, see truths...

To succeed this project, the organization is professionalizing, the running management will be entrusted to an experienced person from the raid rally, the ranking will be done by a dedicated person, the position statement will be carried out by real-time tracking system, all under the control of the race committee which will judge independently. Our communication will also undergo a thorough recast.

The ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ is a long test of more or less 3500 km of tracks with minimum connections. We need to think about your safety, that's why the technical regulations are evolving too.

With regard to racing vehicles (2 x4, 4 x4, trucks), in addition to the mandatory safety elements contained in the technical regulations (harnesses, baquets, hoops, fire extinguisher...), each competitor, pilot and copilot must be fitted A combination and helmet approved by the FIA or approved by the FIA. Wearing a minerva or Hans is highly recommended (we find this type of equipment at very affordable prices): they help to improve your safety. For motorcycles, the rules are to be read on the website.

Concerning the ′′ Paris Dakhla ", January 2022 is retained, certainly starting in the second week. Recognitions will take place in the third quarter depending on the dates of the boats. As its name suggests, the rally will start from the Paris region.

Technical and administrative checks will take place before a prologue on private land. Competitors will link up to the city of departure of the boat for Morocco.

The decision to start the ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ in France and to evolve the trailer on our roads is motivated by several factors.

Apart from the important historical side, our rally needs partners. We are fortunate to be sponsored by big companies, like Vytalink and Motul, however, offering this first part of France makes our communication and attractiveness easier with our future sponsors.

It also allows for a very significant reduction in vehicle transport costs to Morocco. However, our faithful carrier, Sylvain Couteau, will offer after the prologue, his services from the departure city of France to the port of arrival in Morocco, allowing the competitor unable to clear the necessary time for the boat crossing, to recover his vehicle at the port of arrival and to show up at the departure of the first special.

The rally will take place in eight stages from 350 to 450 km at the road book.

Vehicles, motorcycles, 2 x 4, 4 x4 and trucks will fall into four categories:

Class 1: from 1978 to 1986

Class 2: from 1986 to 1994

Class 3: from 1994 to 2000

Class 4: from 2000 to 2012

A time set to perform the special of the day will be given for each category. It will be necessary to perform the specials without exceeding the time set, respecting all road book instructions, validating waypoints, CPs and being as constant as possible. For more details, sports regulations can be found on the site.

TL ' O has always had the heart of studying the lowest possible commitment price, the ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ commitment fee does not evolve, however, some mandatory security and tracking options will have to come to graft at the commitment price ..

For this edition of the ′′ Paris Dakhla ′′ we are lucky and honored to be part of the three raid rallys benefiting from the motorcycle by Motul category.

The category ′′ Desert Biker ′′ by Motul will allow the registered rider to be taken care of for his bivouac assistance via the Motul village where he finds his parts trunk, a wheel set, a dedicated place with a floor mat, a Individual motorcycle lift as well as Motul fluids... Camping, dinner and breakfast will also be provided to registrants in the desert biker category. All information and commitment price is on the site.

I also wanted to tell you that we plan to share a new adventure always in the pure tradition of raid rallys of the past, in a country with a playground and diverse landscapes. While waiting to reveal this new destination, know that this rally would take place during the second week of October 2022, in 6 petal steps!

The re-opening of your Paris-Dahkla registrations (January 2022) by TL ' O, will be open on March 15th.
