Justin and Karl doing us proud!

The guys have been involved for 4 days in the area of Algemesi in Valencia.

It was a pleasure to find ourselves with others from Gibraltar also doing their part!

Today’s post is dedicated to the incredible work of our colleagues from Maroc Atlas, Karl Valarino and Justin McNeice, rather than focusing on the EV.
In the world of charities, competition and lack of appreciation can sometimes be challenging, but the EV takes pride in supporting all organizations, whether through financial contributions or other means. Especially recognising their value and uniqueness.
Yesterday whilst in Valencia, we spent the day in various areas affected by the recent disaster. Despite the devastation, a familiar sight brought us immense joy - a Gibraltar license plate. It led us to two remarkable individuals, Karl and Justin, who may not have had capes but displayed courage and dedication in their worn-out, dirty appearance.
After witnessing the heartache and suffering in the aftermath, encountering these Gibraltarian heroes was a true blessing. Despite the toxic air and challenging conditions, Karl and Justin had been clearing cars from garages, a task typically done by trained professionals who then go on to get therapeutic support. Their willingness to face such trauma head-on is commendable and inspiring. Remember, when you decide to enter a garage filled with cars, one has to be prepared to find other things.
As they prepare to depart tomorrow , they will leave a void in the Valencia community, and we were reminded of the invaluable contributions they have made. When they return seeking support, we urge everyone to stand by them. They will return. We saw it in their eyes. They leave their hearts behind and they need to return for it. Karl and Justin, you are indeed a beacon of hope and resilience.
The EV admires and respects you, as well as Maroc Atlas, for your unwavering commitment and compassion. Your actions speak volumes about the goodness in humanity.
