Seen a few of them during the nights on our desert camps!

Believe it or not.. The most dangerous road in Morocco was engineered by a donkey!!
Here's the story and the video;
The Moroccan South-East is full of qualifications and tourist sites that attract tourists from different parts of the world; besides its canes, which are considered a distinctive architectural art, some of which are classified as a World Heritage, such as the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou near the city of Ouarzazate, and its oasis, which are some of the longest and most beautiful oasis in the world, and its desert sands that bring those who want to take hot sand baths or enjoy the view of one of the most amazing sunrise views in the universe in the tourist town of Marzouka (beside all of that), in a large part of the area are mounted with disturbing mountainous highlands and very beautiful tunnels, penetrated by dangerous passageways with rough curves for lovers of adventure and challenge; Perhaps its most famous in the southeast, and even the world, are curvy.
Tsadrin or Tastarin; a combination of the word "Tasadrin" or "Tasadrrt" (according to the pronunciation), an Amazighian word locally pronounced on a narrow, winding mountain path or staircase built with stones.
As its name suggests, it suggests the need to be cautious of the danger of falling and rolling down "tadori" in these corridors that were primarily used to transport people on foot, or by using mules and donkeys in a historical period modern means of transportation had not yet reached the area.
The curves of Tsadrin are located in the region of Tengir, on the side of Sharaa Tafilalt, specifically between the congregations of the Lower Mountain and the Upper Mountain, on the regional road 704 the link between the Boumaine Dades circle, which is thirty kilometers away from it, and a nail drive.
This mountain pass, which is about a kilometer long and at an altitude of about a thousand meters, belongs to the Eastern Great Atlas Mountain Range.
These curves were dug according to oral narratives and according to a rock monument found in 1933 by a French military band, symbolized as the "CSP", an abbreviation for "Compagnies des Sapeurs Pionnières", which appeared in the French army since Q18 and went through stages of evolution, where its mission was initially to blow up what might put it The enemy is from obstacles and ambitions by throwing bombs and explosives on them, before it turns into a team specialized in building roads, railways, stretching telegraph wires, building parking lots and colonial administrations in both Algeria and Morocco by engaging and forcing the people to work; it is credited for bringing a number of roads and tunnels into existence.
If many consider the donkey to be the oldest engineer in history, referring to the great role this animal played in “planning and engineering” a number of roads, especially in mountainous areas, where it was released and then ceased its trail, that is because its intelligence makes it choose the easiest and most economical routes for energy and effort, as well as guides To safe roads and to remain tanned in place in the event of danger, the achievement of the Tasadrin curves is no different from this case; the circulating narratives, whether in the upper or lower mountain ridges, agree that the map of these curves costs an "engineer of a different kind", is a donkey!
In this case, Arif Lahu, the owner of a hotel in Batisdarin, tells us that when France settled in the region, I mean specifically the French military group "CSP", which was commissioned to accomplish this road using gunpowder, took advantage of a donkey released from the bottom and traced its footsteps upwards using lime to draw those curved curves.
Except other narratives say that these curves - as Ordna Salva - existed before France's arrival in this quarter, although the other one does not deny that the engineer was the donkey of one of the nomads who had been plowing towards Baumalen decades before the French were remodeled and painted with lime in preparation to start turning it into a road for trucks And the army trucks.
Because the grace of the donkey is great in the gap of this mountain passage, one of the elders of the area considers that if it were not for him, people to this day would have been moving on the back of the engineer and on the mule.
Once upon a time, even before it was worshiped, Tsudrin was describing the curves of death from which it peacefully needs a fact that proclaims its rebirth, in the expression of Ali. B”, the Bedford freight truck driver who used this route in the 1970s.
Ali says: “Every time I was going by someone who was angry I was talking to myself saying: This is going to be the last day of your life, Ali. I was watching how the Bedford wheels were going to slide to the edge so I tried to control the steering wheel as much as I can.” After reaching the top or descending to the bottom, the ascendant breathe and say: Thank God for your safety, Ali, I have been reborn, I have successfully passed the repeated test, imagine that this difficult test is repeated once a month, because despite the severity of those cripples, I had no other alternative to reach tanned”.
What Ali said about the curves of Tasdarin is not much different from what a group of global online websites specializing in tourism and embassies.
This is an American website called Automoblog.net in an article published on August 24, 2011 about "I feel nervous: the 10 most dangerous roads in the world", which - according to the website itself - is difficult for even world racer Lewis Hamilton to drive, ranks 29-fourth most dangerous road in the world.
He came in this article, which we translated part of: “Like a huge snake swirling around the Atlas, this dusty, dangerous path stretches, and further dangerous by the skills of suspicious local drivers, who for them consider this passage an essential artery of life, and so do the scorching sun that deprives you of concentration.”
An English website specializing in car rentals called Elephantcarhire.net has ranked the seventh most dangerous road in the world, these curves in an article called "the ten most terrifying and dangerous roads in the world" by a writer called Morgan Glover, published on November 23, 2013, saying: "A compulsory passage towards the harassment of beautiful Dads, there You’ll encounter these curves that are considered just a threshold before so many people who failed to reach their peak.”
It seems that the exaggerated warnings released by these global sites that do not advise visiting Tsadrin do the opposite of their purpose, but these warnings serve as a free advertisement to them; considering that the number of visitors of this tourist site of different nationalities is increasing continuously, as if the tongue of these tourists respond to these sites by saying: “Every risk is desired, and one death is”!
The curves of Tesrin have moved over time from the local and from just a mountainous path used by a group of villagers and the journey from Musmirar and the vicinity towards Pumalen Dads to the international; hundreds of adventurers and challenge lovers from all walks of life, and its picture is clear hanging in some engineering institutes and colleges, as the engineer told us. The slope in the Basque Region, Spain. Saray Melendez Fernandez.
Sarai said her dream of visiting Tasdarin had been fading when she saw the picture of these curves at the entrance to the college she studied in San Sebastian.
And on it, we are not exaggerating if we say it is a marvel and a masterpiece of art from among antiques and other wonders that the Moroccan Southeast region is admired, a masterpiece that is no longer limited to being the source of inspiration for a group of local artists who chose it as a subject for their paintings and murals spread in Boumalen Dads and a composed castle, but its popularity crossed all limits Local and even national, and not indecisive for being chosen by global giant companies to shoot scenes from their advertising, as an American Cadillac company, specializing in the industry of the most luxurious and finest types of cars, where these curves were the stage for the Cadillac ATS 2012 advertisement.
Looks like Tsadreen will also have a future in the film industry; when the year 2015 saw the shooting of stills of an Indian film titled “Dishoom”, running in theatres summer 2016, starring the brightest young stars of Indian cinema (Bollywood), Miss Sri Lanka 2006 actress Jacqueline Fernandez and the Indian strong rising star John Abraham and the young Indian actor Varun Dhawan.
And in 2018, they were going again on a new date with
Besides shooting advertisements and movies, the site of Tasdarin is a favorite place for walking, foe, cycling and mechanical sports enthusiasts.
In 2018, this charming tourist site was known as a global sporting event with distinction, which represented Italian racer Fabio Barone breaking the world record for speed on the most dangerous roads in the world. It also witnessed races of these types of sports, including a mountain marathon and an important stage of classic car racing, so you almost get to win. Don't leave out regular bikes, motorcycles and pedestrians "caravans"... What makes it a world tourist destination.
Because many Moroccans, with their international fame, still confuse the curves of Tesdarin and Tizi Ntishka, unfortunately, sometimes this comes from pages and tourist sites that label their photos as Tesdarin, it is a must to alert that Tesdarin, a tourist icon in the Dads Oasis, invites you to visit it and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding it and relax moments From comfort, quiet and taking photos to remember, here in Tsudrin you will find hotels stretched along the way and all the services you will need.
To encourage these visits, many locals see that this tourist gem still needs a lot of rehabilitation such as erecting cement barriers and laying grids to prevent stones from falling and soil drifting, especially in times of floods and floods, widening some of its curves and placing garbage bins.
Personally, I suggest placing solar-powered lights of different colors on the sides of these curves, warning drivers to their edges and giving them a wonderful night view.
The point at the end is that, despite what has been said about the seriousness of these curves, it is no longer a careless and exaggeration that the international press used to for excitement and suspense; since for decades, hundreds of cars cross this corridor daily and only a catastrophic accident happened in 1980 has been recorded. Earlier before slavery, when a Bedford truck flipped over, it was carrying dozens fewer passengers, and the accident killed 20.
On the other hand, this reassurance should not understand that you should not take your wall and caution as you should when dealing with any road!
