4X4 MOTOR SPORT!
MarocAtlas Gibraltar 4x4 Club is promoting Motor Sports to Gibraltar by participating in Trials, Rallies & Competitions abroad representing Gibrlatar.
One of our mayor participation was the Maroc Challenge Rally in the GR Category always participating in the Winter Edition for 3 years consecutively . In this Rally we represent Gibraltar with other European countries, up to 130 teams participating.
We also participate in Trials in Marbella and other places in Spain, members participating will have the Clubs support.
We are working in participating in competitions in Portugal & in Morocco in different rallyes in the future!
We do our own Club 4x4 Competition now since 2012, inviting other 4x4 Clubs, Orgs or Entities to join us and participate. The competition takes place at Circuito Almeji, Benadalid, Ronda. Some sponsors are already involved and collaborating in this event.
Any member who is willing to participate in the sports to represent Gib & our Club are most welcome to join our Team.

Death of Hubert Auriol, former director of Dakar rally.Hubert Auriol, former pilot and director of the Dakar rally, passed away on Sunday ′′ from a cardiovascular accident following a long fight against the disease ", his family told AFP.68-year-old Hubert Auriol was nicknamed ′′ the African ", not only because he was born in 1952 in Ethiopia, but also because of the successes on the tracks of the famous raid rally, that he was the first to win both on motorcycle (1981 and 1983) and auto (1992).It is under his leadership that the Rally-Raid will run for the first time from Spain (Granada in 1995, 1996 and 1999) and even from Dakar (1997 and 2000).Hubert Auriol will also remain in history as the first presenter of a television show that has become cult, Koh-Lanta, during which the candidates are promised physical tests and adventure.The experience will, however, stop for him after the first season.The drafting offers sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Después de una dura etapa 6 de más de 350km de especial con mucha arena y dunas muy removidas que nos tocó luchar con ellas y con la oscura noche del desierto mientras finalizamos los últimos 150km de noche y nos complicaba aun más la navegación.... Rubén se empleó a fondo en la navegación durante un par de horas que estuvimos haciendo dunas de noche y conseguimos llegar perfectos a meta....así que hoy hemos disfrutado del día de descanso mientras los mecanicos se empleaban.

EL MATADOR ACECHA.Carlos Sainz consiguió el mejor tiempo en la etapa número 6, el matador quien aún se encuentra lejos de la punta y ayer expresó que no le gustaba esta edición del Dakar, sigue al acecho de su compañero Stephane Peterhansel y del Qatarí Nasser Al Attiyah, en 2do lugar Al Rajhi que desarrolló una buena etapa y 3er lugar para Nasser Al Attiyah que no pudo sacarle mucha ventaja a su perseguidor y líder de la Categoría "Monsieur Dakar".

Hoy, en la plaza del vivac, nos han hecho una foto de grupo a los Dakar Classic, y nosotros fuimos la Estrella por unas horas para los medios de comunicación.Mi modo habitual de celebración de subirme al coche y levantar los brazos, fue adoptada por todos para la foto de grupo. Otro gesto más a tener en cuenta. Nosotros ya celebramos el llegar al ecuador de la prueba.
