Sand, dunes and sandy pistes were the program of our stage 6
Dakar Rally
P3 for us today (2 punctures) and still P2.
Tomorrow no race, it’s the rest day ... but unfortunately not for our mechanics 🥴
They will rebuild completely our Toyota Hilux for the second week of race ✌️

Etapa 5 - A looooong day in the office !

Toyota Teamwork!

Stage 5; late start time, benefit we managed to sleep a bit. After 20 km on the test, the Toyota of South African Gazoo crashed, didn't see a small ditch and went over the head. Unfortunately the co broke his collar bone and when we got to the scene they were already gone with the helo. This point was easily reached by a regular service truck so we were able to continue our ride. It was a leg to say to you, breaking with lots of rocks, beautiful views and a few trail climbing…

Stage 5 Riyad > Al Qaisumah: 36th
General: 24th
Lots of valleys, lots of canyons, lots of dust. 25 cars turning around in the same place. This was a tough way to start the stage. Later we cannibalised our car to provide team-mate Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi with an A-arm when he broke down 800m from the finish line. Thanks to
PH Sport
for their support and to help us to finish the stage 🙏🏻 Tomorrow another long special of 448 km until Ha'il before the rest d…

Today’s leg was a mixed bag for Carlos Sainz: at one point, the Spaniard was the fastest man on the route. However, navigation issues saw him fall back into fifth place.

Stéphane Peterhansel continues to be impressively consistent: while he is yet to claim a stage win, he has ended each of the legs so far in the top three. It is, thanks to this consistency that he continues to top the overall standings. Today, he was on track to pick up his first stage win until a slight navigation error cost him a few seconds and with them this victory. After over 300 kilometres, he missed out by just 11 seconds.
“The stage was very quick today”
