4X4 MOTOR SPORT!

MarocAtlas Gibraltar 4x4 Club is promoting Motor Sports to Gibraltar by participating in Trials, Rallies & Competitions abroad representing Gibrlatar.

One of our mayor participation was the Maroc Challenge Rally in the GR Category always participating in the Winter Edition for 3 years consecutively . In this Rally we represent Gibraltar with other European countries, up to 130 teams participating.

We also participate in Trials in Marbella and other places in Spain, members participating will have the Clubs support.

We are working in participating in competitions in Portugal & in Morocco in different rallyes in the future!

We do our own Club 4x4 Competition now since 2012, inviting other 4x4 Clubs, Orgs or Entities to join us and participate. The competition takes place at Circuito Almeji, Benadalid, Ronda. Some sponsors are already involved and collaborating in this event.

Any member who is willing to participate in the sports to represent Gib & our Club are most welcome to join our Team.

It was a 2nd home stage win for Yazeed Al-Rajhi as Nasser Al-Attiyah leapfrogged Stéphane Peterhansel to finish in 2nd place. It comes down to the 11th and 12th stages!

It was a close call but Nasser and Mathieu finished P2! They were 49 seconds faster than Peterhansel.

P6 finish for Giniel and Alex Haro. They climbed from P9 to P8 in the general rankings!

The #2021Dakar won’t defeat us! We had a blast in the first part of the stage driving super fast together with 5 or 6 cars until this metal fence got stuck in our rear wheels. It took almost 45 minutes to take it out with Armand, then we had to change the bearing, the two rear wheels and limit our

brakes to a three-way braking system. We are in the marathon stage, so tomorrow we will have to adapt our pace to minimize the risks. We live and learn, so valuable experience for the future.

Etapa 9 finalizada !!! Muy contentos de poder estar en meta!! Hoy una etapa súper complicada y muy muy dura pero a la vez los paisajes y la belleza de poder correr a escasos metros del agua cristalina del mar rojo.......a sido increíble!!!

Stage 9, Neom > Neom: 7th

General: 11th

It was a tough day. 465km full of rocks and full of riverbeds. It was an amazing landscape. We ate a stone and had one bad puncture a few kilometres from the finish, but we came through it.

The Qatari champion is placed in second position, cleverly maintained today, which may allow him to fall on the front line, during the remaining stages.

It should be noted that the minutes that Attia lost today before reaching the finish line in Nyum (Saudi Arabia) were not due to steering issues, but to expose him to three holes in the tires

At the end of stage 9, our two Dakar Classic teams, Frenchman Maxime Lacarrau and Spanish Juan Roura are still racing and are in 7th and 9th respectively with their respective Toyota.

Congratulations to them, and also to their copilot, because navigation in regularity seems easy, but no!
