Land Rover Defender 110 - 1998 300TDI

Kit on the deck - Personal observations: due to kit & rutted terrain issues, I had a few fluid spillage issues (thus requiring to get in and clean up - difficult with the v. expensive built in drawer & locker configerations). Because of this I'm strongly leaning towards a good 'modular' (as seen) packing system. It takes less time to remove from the truck than buiding up my camp table! instant extra table access too - voila! How to improve: In this camp sight I encountered a German couple working off the same principal out of their G Wagon. The modular boxes they had were stackable like mine, but made from srong alloy. If these were water tight (and thus dust proof - a great asset for river crossing / exped / overland travel) then this has to be the way forward! a soloution for securing to the truck base is then required - a tie down ratchet system is the soloution here, especially adaptable to the Defender / Series Land Rover due to box & alloy (no rot when drilling) build design.

Camping Azilan -over looking Chefchaouen. From town, it's a bit of a hike back to camp (grab a petite taxi) The campsite is very clean, organised, great restaurant food with a strong European 4x4 / motor home visitor fraternity - 50 dirahms (5 euros) for me and the set up in the picture - similar price for really good food - recommended.
