Minister for Culture, The Hon Prof John Cortes and member of the SDGG, Forty Azzopardi, presented cheques amounting to the value of £9000 to local charities and volunteer groups that participated in National Celebrations. These funds were collected during the Gibraltar Fair.

The President of the 4x4 Club, which supports the Special Olympics in Gibraltar through activities and annual donations, recently asked Warrant Officer Brian Morris whether they could give a Royal Navy flag to Stephen Balban as a multiple medallist in the Special Olympics and a keen flag collector.

Solidarity convoy from the Rock of Gibraltar to the Great Atlas in the Kingdom of Morocco

MaroAtlasGib4x4 club - its social headquarters in the British Gibraltar - is organized a solidarity caravan in its 29th edition.

The solidarity convoy - lasting 16 days - is set to leave from Tangier in late September in the Kingdom of Morocco as a first leg to Ozud Falls and then to Imelshel in the second stage and to finish the adventure in the third stage in the south of the Kingdom .

A journey that will be accompanied by adventures in bumpy paths across the Atlas and distributing some aid in remote areas.

MaroAtlasGib4x4 was founded in 1994 by Alfred Balban and George Akulina, the club is the first and only official ATV in Gibraltar .

The association was originally a solidarity group taking supplies for children in remote areas of Morocco , in 2011 the group was formalized and expanded to form a club and nonprofit organization, annual caravans were organized to Morocco as well as monthly and half-month off road trips and family trips in Spain And doing charity events and posts locally.

The club promotes motorsport in Gibraltar by participating with other European countries in rally competitions.
