A Triumphant Special Olympics Team

Without doubt you have all once again excelled and made Gibraltar proud.

Gibraltar Special Olympics Team have performed with great success in the Winter Games in North Korea, with Virginia Wink winning Silver in the 100 metres Snow Shoeing event and Sally Ann Mauro achieving a commendable 5th place in the same event.
The Unified Floor Hockey Team (first time playing as Unified) took Bronze in the finals. Sally Ann Mauro took Bronze in the 200metres Snow Shoeing event.

Minister for Sports Steven Linares, and Minister for Equality and Social Services, Samantha Sacramento have sent the following message to the Gibraltar Special Olympics team.
“On behalf of the Government of Gibraltar and the people of Gibraltar, we wish to publicly congratulate you all for achieving such a huge success at the Special Olympics Winter Games in South Korea. Without doubt you have all once again excelled and made Gibraltar proud.
