Vehicle Recovery

As you all know i unfortunately had to use the recovery services to come home on Saturday and had to pay an excess of 150Euros.....somewhat pissed off i made a visit to my insurance this morning only to find out that the recovery service(ARAG) included in the car insurance only covers up to 150Euros or 50km(including the return of the towtruck) which basically covers no further than Algeciras :( anything over the insured will have to pay!!!!!

This time it has cost me 150 Euros but bearing in mind that we were only 73km from Gib and think it is a question of concern as we can all break at anytime so shall be looking for a better cover apart from the one provided by the insurance company maybe some local recovery service can offer the club good rates and better coverage, any ideas???

yes i think its a good idea for everybody to just check there insurance to see    WHAT IS INCLUDED AND WHAT IS,NT

 

as morgan found out it can be a bit expensive if you havent got full cover that 150 euros could have bought him full cover for a year,,,????

Good point Morgan. I will be checking my policy for sure. Johnny Hernandez seems a good idea. Is he up for it Alfred?

Yes Adam I have spoken with him and he is up for it,he has now a lorry for 2 tonnes and he is preparing one for 3 tonnes,he is going to check and give us a prize which will be better than any policy.

Ive just had cover from RACE. £85 a year will cover the driver for any car in spain/gib/portugal and its occupants. Will cover your motorbikes too for those bikers out there. I think its brilliant.
