It was a shame to see Tyrone part this way but I can say by experience that this are normal situations which can happen to anyone,I travelled from Tagounite back in 2003 on a tow track up to Tangier too ;-)

TODAY IS THE 20th OF MARCH.WE LEFT TATA AT 8:30 WE ARE GOING UP TO SOUTHWEST TO THE WHITE BEACH.ON THE WAY WE HAD TO DO A STOP AS ADAM WAS HAVING PROBLEM WITH HIS TOYOTA.THE PROBLEM WAS A LEAK ON THE TRANSMITION.LIKE ALWAYS THANKS TO BEDWI THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED.WE REACHED UP TO THE SOUTHWEST. WE BEEN THROUGH SAND DUNES MOUNTAINS ect.... NO ROADS AT ALL.THAT WAS GREAT FUN. ALSO ON THE WAY WE DID A BIT OF SOLIDARITY.NOW WE REACHED SIDI FINI THIS TOWN WAS OCCUPIED BY THE SPANISH. WE WILL REST HERE AND EAT.TOMORROW WE WILL GO TO THE BIG BLUE ROCKS AND THEN MAKE THE WAY TO MARAKESH AND MEET TYRONE. ON THE WAY WE WILL DO MORE SOLIDARITY...

We reached Plage Blanche on the Atlantic,we were very lucky to reach the beach at the time the tide was coming down so we made the beach run without any problems.

This is the wreck of a fishing trawler or whats left of it,the next photo is from the 2000 Raid were you can see the ship.

TODAY IS THE 21st OF MARCH.WE LEFT SIDI FINI AT 9:00am EVERYONE FILLED UP THEIR TANK. NOW WE HEADING DOWN TO TAFRAOUD ON THE WAY WE WILL DO A BIT OF SOLIDARITY.WE JUST ARRIVED WE WILL HAVE SOME LUNCH AND A BIT OF SHOPPING.WE STILL HAVE ANOTHER 300kms TO GET US TO MARAKESH SO WE DECIDED TO STAY CAMPING IN TAFTRAOUD.WHERE THE BLUE STONES ARE.AMAZING PLACE TO SEE AND THE PEOPLE OF TAFTRAOUD ARE VERY RESPECTFUL AND NICE PEOPLE. IT IS A LOVELY TOWN..TOMORROW WE WILL GO TO MARAKESH ON THE WAY WE WILL DO ANOTHER SCHOOL AND SOLIDARITY ON THE WAY..

Nice camp at the Valley of the Painted Rocks in Tafraoute. During the night we did a little surprise to Bedoui, the Groups mechanic for his collaboration along the way with the vehicles.

 

We presented him with a medal of merit for all his work during the Raid.

Bedoui started coming with us since 1999 on and of for many years now,now he does not miss one Raid!
