The Strait of Gibraltar Association´s Trust aims and objectives are to promote bilateral relations between Gibraltar and Morocco on the educational, voluntary, cultural, artistic and sports levels since 2019. We are in partnership with the Gibraltar Morocco Business Association established well over 20 years ago. we recently registered Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust as a locally based charity (charity 328) supporting Gibraltar/Morocco non-governmental organizations to raise funds, organise awareness and/or collection campaigns for specific targeted minority groups (i.e. single parents, disability and support and empower the youth within both communities to better themselves).
Our five designated Charities are:
- Caring for Gibraltar (Formerly Families in Need)
- 100% Maman for Single Mothers in Tangier, Morocco.
- Deaf School: Attawassol Association for the Education, Teaching and Qualification of Hearing-Impaired Children (Sinwane Centre) in Tangier, Morocco.
- Down Syndrome: Assadaka (Friendship) Association for Mentally disabled Children in Tangier, Morocco
- Duke of Edinburgh International Award – Independent Award Centre in Tangier, Morocco

Successful opening of the business exchange office between Gibraltar 🇬🇮 and Morocco 🇲🇦 in Tangier
We are pleased to announce the official opening of the Gibraltar Morocco Business Exchange s.a.r.l office in Tangier! The event took place on Monday, June 12, and marked an important turning point for the Gibraltar-Morocco Trade Association in enhancing trade relations between the two countries.
In the presence of His Excellency Minister John Curtis, Minister of Education, Culture, Environment and Climate Change, the opening ceremony was attended by prestigious personalities, including representatives from the Friendship Association, the Communications Association, the Tangier Regional Investment Centre, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier Tetouan.
The event brought together a diverse group of businessmen and distinguished figures from Gibraltar and Morocco. Their presence and active participation highlights our shared commitment to fostering trade and cultural cooperation and exploring new opportunities between our countries.
The ceremony kicked off with the official opening of the Gibraltar Morocco Business Exchange s.a.r.l, which symbolizes our commitment to promoting trade, networks and cooperation between Gibraltar and Morocco. In addition, a special ceremony was held to honor and distribute certificates and badges to the first graduates of the Duchess Philip International Award in Morocco.
We sincerely thank all the attendees, including the Friendship Association, the Communication Association for the Deaf and the Hearing Impaired (Sanwan Center), the Regional Center for Investment in Tangier, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier Tetouan, and many businessmen and prestigious personalities who honored us with their presence.

Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services for Tangier, Tetouan Al-Hassima participates in the opening of the Gabal Tariq Al-Maghrib Business Association 🇬🇮🇲🇦🇬🇧
In the framework of strengthening international relations, opening up to new markets and bringing in investments, Mr. Najeeb and Al-Aly, the Chamber member, on Monday, June 12, 2023, participated in the official opening of the Gabal Tariq Maghrib Businessmen Association in Tangier.
It should be noted that the ceremony was known by the presence of His Excellency Minister Dr. John Curtis from the Gibraltar government.
The event was also known as the certificate and badges ceremony for the first batch of graduates of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Morocco, in addition to the presentation of certificates from Moroccan and Gibraltar businessmen.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr. Najeeb and Ali held a meeting with the President of the Association and a number of its members, where they welcomed the idea of bringing investors from the rock to the city of Tangier and the region in general, and also expressed the need for more communication meetings to introduce investors to the advantages of the investment climate in Tangier Tetouan, and the investment opportunities available in it.

Strait of Gibraltar Association Presents Generous Donations to support Gibraltar Cancer Relief Centre
Gibraltar, September 14, 2023 — Demonstrating its steadfast dedication to charitable causes, the Strait of Gibraltar Association is delighted to declare a substantial contribution to the Gibraltar Cancer Relief Centre. A generous amount of £2,715.07 was presented to support the center's ongoing efforts, which have been making a positive impact since the 1980s.
The generous donations are a result of the successful "Camel Trek 23" charitable event organized by the Strait of Gibraltar Association, which took place from May 5, 2023 to May 8, 2023, tracing the picturesque Atlantic coastline from Asilah to Tangiers, Morocco. Sponsored by local entities and individuals, the event featured 11 camel riders whose collective fundraising efforts generated a remarkable £17,000.
Cancer Relief Gibraltar has been offering assistance to individuals affected by cancer within the local community since 1983.
This organization has played a central role in our community, showcasing the significance of extending help to those navigating challenging circumstances. It represents a tale of optimism and strength, serving as a poignant reminder that even during the most challenging moments, there is a glimmer of hope. The Strait of Gibraltar Association remains dedicated to fostering goodwill, collaboration, and philanthropy, extending its unwavering support to worthy causes in both Gibraltar and Morocco.
These funds have been allocated to benefit various charitable causes, including Caring for Gibraltar, Cancer Relief Centre Gibraltar, 100% Mamans for single mothers in Tangier, the Attawasol Association of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Children in Tangier, and Assadaka Association of Mentally Disabled Children in Tangier, Morocco.
In the same presentation, and as a token of appreciation, Maroc Atlas Gib 4x4 Club surprised the organizers by handing us a a presentation of pictures - a collage of of the event - to Kevin Parody the organizer of Camel Trek II, Henry and Priscilla Sacramento patrons of Strait of Gibraltar Association, and Steven Marin managing director of Gibraltar Morocco Business Exchange office in Tangier.

Civil society and Moroccan residents in Jabal Tariq organized a stand in solidarity with the victims and injured of the earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday night.
In this solidarity stand, the governor of Jabal Tariq, representative of His Highness, the Prime Minister of Jabal Tariq, the deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Jabal Tariq, the Imam of the mosque and representatives of the religions in Jabal Tariq, in addition to many civil society and citizen associations of Jabal Tariq, this stand comes to express the great sadness for the victims of the earthquake Expressing the willingness of the resident to offer as many kinds of possible assistance.
