𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗰 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝟰𝘅𝟰 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼

In response to the terrible earthquake in Morocco, the Saint George Charity has studied a number of options as to how best and most effectively to respond.

After looking at a number of options we have decided to contribute 1,000 euros to Maroc Atlas Gibraltar 4x4, a Gibraltar group of off-road enthusiasts, originally formed in 1994 as a Solidarity group taking supplies to children in the remotest parts of Morocco, who are organising a trip in October to deliver aid directly to some of the most remote areas affected.

We spoke with members of the club who informed us that it is more efficient and involves less bureaucracy, to purchase the food, medical supplies, and other essentials in country rather than to try and import, and have already secured most of the supplies ready for delivery.

The club has already raised over 13,000 euros in partnership with the charitable association the Muslim Youth of Gibraltar, towards this mission.
